Ascot-Luton

hi guys. I was wondering if anybody can tell me the quickest and best way to get from Ascot to Luton. Im going to the football there on Friday.

Yer options are, as far as I can tell:

Ascot - Richmond (SWT)
Richmond - West Hampstead (Silverlink)
West Hampstead to West Hampstead Thameslink (Walk)
West Hampstead Thameslink to Luton (thameslink)

OR

Ascot - Clapham Junction (SWT)
Clapham Junction to London Victoria (Southern)
Victoria to Kings X St Pancras (Tube)
KX St P to St Pancras Interim (Walk)
St Pancras interim to Luton station (Midland Mainline)

Pretty much the same time really, it just goes on train frequencies and what is convienient for the time you are travelling at.
