I saw that the other day, when i was watching something on ITV. I actually thought it was a pretty good advert.

No idea about the stations though.

Lewes is the only station I recognise. None of the other "locations" seem to show a station. The other recognisable location is the Ouse Valley Viaduct.

And two things!
1) I've never had one of the trolley service people smile at me like that! In fact the last time I was served by a trolley service straight afterwards the bloke who served me sat down in first class and nattered on the phone to his girlfriend for the remainder of the trip from East Croydon to Victoria! The cheeky git! I'm going to demand my smilesworth next time!

2) The Electrostars don't have those nice seats they have on the Turbostars!!! Funny how they showed that seating instead! :x

Perhaps because you don't smile at them? Also you always see people in the McDonalds adverts smiling as they serve people, but do they smile at you when you ask for something?

Although it shows the Electrostars in the ad, the Turbostars are still part of the "New Trains," therefore they aren't false advertising by showing these.

I find the blue/grey Electrostar seats pretty comfy. The green one's are ok, but too hard.

Elojikal has a point. Ya get on an Electrostar, and suddenly appear in a 171! Talk bout a timewarp!

Was just an example. I went into McDonalds today (first time for a while), and the person who served me looked as if she was having the worst day of her life.

Exactly, but in the adverts they're all smiles. So, in the Southern ad, the woman is smiling, but it may not be like that on the train.

LOL

Lewes is one of the stations, the bit you see on the TV is the only part of the station painted in the new livery.

I'm guessing the station might be listed in someway because the blue, white and yellow paint scheme is the one that Network Rail did. And very nice it is too.

Sorry, it's two stations they used not three.

It's the only part of Lewes station to recieve the new Southern livery.

Gotta laugh that go-ahead spunk money on adverts like this whilst their sister company Thameslink, who brings in more money that southern does, has a spending embargo, and at the moment we are buying our own office stationary. Bllody great!
