Nameplates

Post by skipperdipper »

Anybody got a particular nameplate they hate? Mine would be the style as applied to 507033 and 508136. Its just a cheap, tasteless transfers stuck to the side if the centre car, I havn't got a picture but I found this:

Any other 'nameplate haters' out there?

Something needs to be added there, the livery is rather dull. People need to stop with the over impulsive watermarking though. The bottom left and right corners suffice.

I hate Virgin for removing the Lady in Red name plate from 43093. Does that count?

Yes. A kick in the teeth for Hornby Virgin HST trainset owners like me. I think 43063 'Maiden Voyager' is gone as well.

Shame that it's gone from being a flagship machine to rusting at I think it's WSR?

It would have been better if they had named it "Maiden Crewe".
