class 309 EMU

any ideas whats going on with the class 309 emu thats being preserved??? where abouts will it operate?

Didn't even know one was being preserved! I really hope one of them is, I have good memories of their twilight years in and around Manchester. :)

Is a 309 a strathclyde blue train? If so, then it's as Bo'ness, and has been modified to work push/pull with any blue star fitted loco.

The Strathclyde blue train is a 311. The 309 is the Clacton Express EMU, in RRNW livery or Manchester Airport Express livery.

Class 303 and 311 are strathclyde blue trains (the 303 being the original original ones), its a 303 thats at boness.
