nah! it'd probably end up in a field with a bunch of traction engines like last time when it supposedly had the vsoe contract.

Green Arrow is broken with a capital F.

The middle cylinder head kind of came out the end of the cylinder and bent all the waggly bits inside.

Nice Peak haulage last week though.

Believe it or not, that's actually a pretty good explanation of what went wrong with Green Arrow. Or at least the bit that went wrong.

I hope so. I remember going up to York last year to find the train hauled by 45407. It's not fair!

Only if they are stupid and don't put "subject to availability" on the tickets.

This is an 80(ish) year old machine. You simply can't expect it to run and run and run without something going wrong, certainly not when it's got to run at 75mph with a heavy train.

And when it had had far too little money spent on it for three years! Fortunatley the NRM now seen to have rectified most of the damage done by FSR. The NRM did offer to give us tickets for another train but as we'd spent £60 getting up there anyway that was no good to us, so we just settled for 45407, but it was still really disappointing.
