SWT to Bristol

Post by 1288gaje »

As i've noticed since the last timetables,SWT has taken over Wessex Trains between Salisbury to Bristol?
i mean they run on Sunday..London Bristol and why not Mon-Fri or Saturday?
What stock do they run?
158s or 159s? :P

I'm pretty sure it runs all week. They haven't taken over Wessex's services, Wessex still run at least hourly between Bristol and Salisbury.

It's operated by 159s, SWT don't have any 158s.

SWT took a couple of Central 158s on, same as Wessex and TPX.

SWT only own a few trains which are the 3-CIG for the Lymington branch, a stored CEP and maybe their 73's everything else is leased from a leasing company.

Well, it appears that I was wrong there, so I apologise. From what I can gather, the two units are currently being refurbished.

SWT have got rid of all their working CEP's recently. The last ones in service were 2311, 2315.
