Xmas engineering round Bristol

Post by asalmon »

according to the national rail site between dec 27 and 31 there is work between filton abbey wood and parkway, and it says bristol - gloucester service is by bus

on the wessex site there is a timetable that seems to suggest trains will run.

so i wondered if anyone here knows what exactly will be hapenning. will there be trains, and will the run round the avonmouth freight loop again?

looking at the wessex timetable, one service * that is meant to be a train takes so long to get to glos and stops at the supposedly closed stations that I suspect it is a bus, and the next one, not labeled as anything, calls at patchway (with bus link from parkway) then newport and up to glos. **

Cheers
Alan

Cheers Steve

Turns out the 0720 is a bus, and the 0740 is a virgin service - so i will go for the latter.
