Freight Workings

These duties are exclusively worked by the Bo+Bo's and the first example consisted of 27 wagons equivalent to 40 leaving the Wombwell Exchange sidings for Mottram. Estimated load was 720 tons and banking assistance provided in the rear from Wombwell to West Silkstone junction.
Is this just a straight comparison of two consists, one using wagons that can carry more, such as a consist of 21t HTO/HTVs compared to 16t MCO/MCVs, or is there more to it than that?
