Just found this report on heritage railway magazine web site that when returned to steam Flying Scotsman will be in war time black for testing with out its smoke deflectors. When testing is complete it will be repainted in to lner apple green with the smoke deflectores. Full story:

I'm sure there are parts of that thing that could be donated to one of the recreation projects like the Grange or 82XXX or failing that, melt it down into something that could be useful ! I need a new wok !
