Class 312

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if any of these units had actually been saved from scrap out of curiosity? I used to love traveling from Thorpe-le-Soken to Walton-On-the-Naze when First Great Eastern were the operator and had these units in service. Seems a shame if none of them survived :(

Regards

Kris

According to wikipedia two vehicles have been saved from this unit:

Number 78037 and 71205. They are apparently in store at the Coventry Railway Centre which is also home to other EMU's such as the remaining 309's.

Thanks for that Kieran, would be a terrible shame if they hadn't conserved at least one, I suppose what is now needed is an EMU Heritage route :)
