Having just been on UKSteaminfo i have just noticed that todays 1August Waverley has been cancelled from York To Carlisle.Anybody know why.
Is it Lack or shortage of locos or insufficent bookings,having seen that there are a lot of railtours at the moment what with the Scarboroughs etc
If a Loco does brake down there are not enough to cover plus the ones that could be available are out of position Ie at Crewe.Also i noticed that
5690 Leander has just completed a test run on the Carnforth to Hellifield Circuit last week,any reason why.I do realise however that Tornado Oliver
Cromwell and Tangmere are unavailable

Hi

Waverley was cancelled a few days ago due to lack of passengers.

I think the reason for Leander doing the test run was for the Fellsman tour last Wednesday

Leander will be doing the Scarborough Spa 10th-12th August as 45407 is booked to do the Scarborough Spa again this week.
