Within the UKTS "vaults" there is a repaint of the Class 357 in Midland Mainline livery, however I can not yet find any reference to 357s running for MML.
Could someone please confirm or deny whether this happened at any time?
Thanks, Ruf

Hi Ruf,
I think it's just a fictional repaint, a "what might have been"!
Also, a Class 357 and a Class 170 (which was operated by MML for a while) are almost identical visually, apart from the shorter body on the 357.
The clue here is that the 357 is an EMU, and the majority of the MML is non-electrified, and in any case, they'd have only worked as far as Bedford, which is FCC/Thameslink territory as far as commuter trains are concerned (the 357 is after all a commuter train).

Many thanks for the prompt reply, and confirmed my own suspicion. But not having the original download file and the attached readme not saying I thought it better to check.
Once again thanks, Ruf

Yes the 357's are confined to c2c and the only expeditions have been onto National Express East Anglia when they were short of a couple of units in 2006 and to the Czech Republic to test the regenative braking system also in 2006.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
