Wow, is it ready already? That was pretty 'fast', altho i can't remember when they started to building it. I wonder if there's a picture of the new viaduct that connects 'old' part of the line to ex-LUL part?

Kinda funny that one picture had text '...each of the 24m new trains...', now i actually started to wonder if that 24 is millions, could they be that expensive? I more though it was the length of the car, as class 170 has 23m carriages, so could class 378 have 24m cars? And if so, then the pictures text is...bit misleading, as train constitues 3 carrages, later probably 4 and so then trains length is 72 and later 96 meters.

Like all Electrostars, the 378's have 20 metre carriages . And given that the total order cost was £223 million, each train costing £24 million could be justifyable.

I think there's something wrong with your arithmetic, they got more than 9 and a bit units for £223 million . The £223 million was for the initial order of 152 cars which was subsequently increased by another 36 cars at £1 million each.
