Loved to bits on LTS Rail (obviously) and the Great Eastern/Anglia sections interested me too.

Seems strange to compare LTS Rail then to c2c now, the best line in the UK :D . And although the constant weekend engineering works are annoying me at the moment, they need to be done to keep the high standard of service. I would like to see the Ockendon branch of c2c double tracked in the future and i believe there may just be enough room for it, but the likely hood of it...is that a pig i see flying outside my window?

Cheers

The thing that bugs me is the trains terminating at Grays every day. I can see the point of it doing it but the commuters comming from london dont care wich train thay get on as long as it dosent terminate. If it dose terminate then thay dont get on it so why not just run them though Chafford Hundred and have the Dagenham Dock train terminate at grays like it dose all day :o I bet that dagenham dock train terminates at Pitsea to lol so theres no though trains on the Tilbury line at all :o

Back to the video i love it how that insult Fenchurch Street and its all going to modernised but 20 years later its still the same lol :D

Some raves from the grave there:

Jimmy Knapp: couldn't understand a word he said then, can't understand a word he says now. :drinking:
A 21 year old John Prescott, looks older than that but he's had a hard life :grab:
Chris Green, so smooth you could use him in the engine of your car instead of oil :black:
Roger Freeman, then Transport Minister:see Chris Green above (only fully synthetic) :

Thing is i've tried creating my own timetable for c2c and it is neigh impossible to have trains running through because of; the limited rolling stock, mixture of fast/semi-fasts/slows on the mainline and the different timings round Rainham and Ockendon branches. Once everything gets to Pitsea i've had trains from Grays and Basildon arriving at the same time at Pitsea and would think it unacceptable to make one train wait 3 minutes for headway, i've also had fast trains due at Benfleet about a minute after trains from the Grays loop so it makes it very complicated.

My compromise was to have Ockendon trains terminate at Grays (due to shorter journey distance limited bay platform length wouldn't matter) plus the single track on that branch means trains cannot run very often there and if i remeber correctly trains are only every 30 minutes during peak times on that branch in real life. And trains via Rainham terminated at Pitsea and didn't affect the mainline.

I'll set you a challenge, try and have all services running to Pitsea/Southend Central and see how long it takes you to give up  .
