Hi,
Does anyone know the approximate times/dates of the scrap metal trains to Lincoln, specifically the arrival times? Whilst we've still got a few 60's shuffling about I'd like to snap some pics and I know this trip usually turns up with one.

The scrap leaves Lincoln terrace at 17:04 on Saturdays on an as required basis.
I cannot find an arrival time but i think it is during night.
It is not a 60 working though? That is 6E41 (quite often) ,the Oil train which runs through Lincoln at 08:45 Monday-Friday and returns at 20:59.
I have so far only seen one pic of a 60 on the scrap working,although that was on a Friday,maybe it just runs when it wants
On a Saturday it passes at 16:10.

That pic must have been from the same day I saw a 60 working it then as that was a friday, (last august/september IIRC)
I know about the 6E41, it's never returned that late though that I've seen it.
There's also another one comes through about 17:40 60 hauled, but the nights are no good for grabbing pics with my camera. The 08:45 outbound trip should be catchable though so thanks for the heads up on that.
