Class 37's would be nice.

Post by 60085 »

Some of the new 37 models with liveries:

* INTERCITY
* RF coal-sector (37332 "The Coal Merchants Associaton of Scotland")
* Mainline freight (37023 "Stratford TMD")
* Regional Railways (37421 "The Kingsman")
* Civil Engineers (37099 "Clydebridge")
* DRS

These are loco's i'd really like to see. I'd have a go myself but i struggle with even relatively simple painting processes used in MS Flight Simulator.
The file names/contents of the folders in my "trains" mean absolutely nothing to me and wouldn't know where to start.

Hi 60085,

Welcome to the forum's.....firstly a word of "friendly" advice. It might be an idea to rephrase your request for the 37's in a polite request rather than a demanding sounding list :wink:

Having said that there's some more 37 variants from Mark on the way also there are some excellent repainters too on this site...be polite and the guys will 99% of the oblige.

Cheers,

40058.

Well I do apologise. I meant in no way to appear demanding.
I'm just happy to use what ever developers produce and am grateful for MSTS as now I dont end up signing blank cheques to Hornby, Lima and Bachmann or Hattons.

Is there any chance of a image or two of these?
Do hope you decide to release them, especially if it's a photo-realistic version or the quality of the EWS and BR's Highland Division 37's that have been appearing.

Here is a provisional list of 37 i'd like to do, I have realised that I cant do a repaint kit due to all the minor variations among locos, it would be a bigger project than the list anyway. I will be happy for anybody to do repaints, i'm looking foward to seeing some, and I cant cover the whole fleet myself. I would recommend waiting for a closer variant to be released before embarking on a repaint to save effort, i'll try and move 685 in IC livery up the workshop order.

Wow, quite a list and can't wait to see 'em.
The BR Civil Engineers Department "Dutch" should keep me going for a while, and no, you can't have enough 37's (period).

Now that we have a Swansea-Carmarthen route how about the handful of Landore 37s that where fitted with temporary headlamps for the Central Wales line? Might make an interesting variation
