Well the author Okrasa Ghia pops in here from time to time. He may post it back up. It was on here for a while but has now gone, as has the TSection update that was here. I'm not qualified to comment why but it only seems to be on Train-sim.com at the moment.

Matt, do you have any comments on why XTracks has been removed from here?

As far as I know it's not been removed (just checked and it's still there).
XTracks version 3.3 as of September 17th 203 downloads, the upgrade from previous 3.* versions has 178 downloads.
The tsection.dat file has to my knowledge newer been available seperately on UKTrainSim but then you do not need it, the correct version is included with XTracks.
If you're using the UK Fine Scale tracks I think that comes with a newer versions and you should use that one instead.

Could you tell us what file-id please, because a search for xtrack in the filename does not produce it.

Before I posted I searched under "XTrack", "XTrk", "Okrasa", "Ghia" and "Scenery" and still could not find it, so assumed it wasn't here. Please advise the file ID. Thanks very much.

Okrasa is correct, it is filed here.

However it is almost impossible to find, because it is filed under country "Argentina" and search defaults to "United Kingdom"

I guess most of us (myself included) don't touch the "coutry" selection box at the top of the search screen - I wonder what other goodies are "hidden" in this way!

File ID 3037.

I should think it was supposed to be posted as Any, and he hit the next item in the Menu, Argentina, in error.

If you set the search country to Any, then everything appears, thus revealing the hidden goodies.

I don't think you can choose any when uploading, its only used for searching.

Don't know why it's listed under Argentina, I've never been there.
Changed it to United Kingdom to make it a little easier to find though I think the default when searching should be 'any country'.

Phew... I was looking for it last night before I downloaded North British! This post appeared just in time I almost *shudder* had to go to train-sim.com for it*!

*No, I'm not prejudiced, but this site has a quicker download speed!!!

But does the fact of having to pay $30 to join not put you off and as in my
situation needing xtracks wasnt the right thing to solve the problem i had.

So in our case for just one file$30 is an expensive file, hence this post

And b4 u say that im money orientated, im a premium account holder on herewhich is Top value for money
But it could of been either a long wait for the spare bandwidth or the $30
expensive file!

Not that the advice wasnt helpful Alan .
Every avenue had to be explored
Cheers
