surely this kinda thing is a bit of a free ad for them...

especially the central trains stuff, which even has their phone number.

if i was a TOC i'd encourage people to make models of my stuff!

Yes, but you're not an analy retentive company are you ?

I'm not saying I support it, just saying it happened, the result was that all AA repaints needed to have some disclaimer included in them.

ah....

makes sense now, but the only chance they would have of being popular is if the went to southend. and c2c trains are purple.

(i forgot the FGE line there for a minute... but the barbie would be the new FGW... oh to hell with it...)

Clearly, c2c rock. They are quite possibly the nicest trains in service at the moment, they dont make a sound. It took me 2 minutes to realise we were actually moving! Yes they are purple, but its a nice sparkly purple..

As Dave Babb says any logo is copyright .... BR even tried to 'extort' money from modellers over logos before privatisation .... its so 'chirlish' that it deserves putting to the test 8)

They certainly are 'anally retentive' and act like they're Mac Donald's or something
Cheers

Obviously, you're free to use the word Mac Donalds as you see fit, (Mainly because it'll be the term "Mc Donald's" thats a registered trademark)

Corporate identity is something that's very valued by the company itself.

It always makes me smile when I see the vans of a local double glazing firm, big letters down the side "MS Windows"

oh, i agree. the c2c trains are lovely. the only thing they lack is the corridor connection, but i can live without that, they are just commuter trains, after all.

makes my trips to lakeside quite good fun. even when we go to ikea, and bring a flat-pack back on the train!

I seem to remember Lima or Farish not being able to produce models of HSTs in Virgin liveries because Virgin were making problems over copyright 'issues'. Until Chris Green told them not to be so stupid...
