Whats the best way to get hold of Station layouts & photos? Searching on the net or actually visiting the places?
If its searching the net, can anyone give me some good searching tips, of what kinds of things to search for. Typing in Station names AND/OR station photo's as a search string either briongs back totally unrelated items, or i get lists of like 100,000+ sites :/
Cheers for any help

Use google advance search for railway station "Name" and use the facility to refine your search - http://www.google.co.uk/help/refinesearch.html
There are lots of station photos on the web you just have to find them - try the Southern Electric Group for one, there must be others, for other regions. Then follow any web rings you may find. Save the url's as you go in a temporary folder in your IE favorites (so you can go through and delete any you don't want). Also use the image search facility on google type in rail / train / station / & etc. - searching for stuff on the net can be very rewarding especially when you find things that you never thought existed
