Not sure ill reuse any of the 175 as ive made it extremely oddly with it being my first model!!! Ive learnt a far bit about modelling while doing the 175.
Im most likely to do both together as i must admit the 323 has a very nice shape and front which id enjoy trying to do. However bar the 175 the 156 is my fav dmu (dont ask why!!!).
No chance of me attempting the sounds for the 323 as i never travel on them :(
Thanx for all the replys so far :)
Its been interesting to hear people wants and reasons :)

Cheers

id say the 323 as when i go to the . that is Wolverhampton station to catch my local to Codsall on the Shrewsbury line there always seems to be a 323 on platform 5 bound for Coventry via New Street. And if any1 was to do a route with new street they wud ned the 323 as it is always there NO EXCEPTIONS 8)

ps the 323 when it is accelerating sounds like a washing machine then when it reaches cruising speed it sounds like a series 2000

Now, now. Don't get nasty about Woolyhampton station or it bites!

I have actually seen 156s running the stopping service when the power was out - also after a dead 323 blocked the bay and caused all sorts of chaos, our mere hour-late Chester to Nottingham via Shrewsbury and New Street (classic route! Who came up with *that* combination!) stopped at all stations to BNS and became very overcrowded. I think that was a 156 too...

156...156...156...156...156

We have loads of routes it could be used on... NWTrains, Caldervale, Tim's Mideast 1 (I'll bet that has 156's on it on one of the branches), possibly the Harwich-Manningtree (I don't know what stock is normally used on there) and even the default S&C. I bet the VR's will be interested in it too.

I'd like to see it in North West Trains / Regional Railways North West livery (Normal RR livery with a dark green stripe instead of blue). I reckon it's dead striking on a clean train.

agreed, the rrnw livery is great. simple, effective, attractive. probably the best br-rr era livery there was.

Martin: A clean RR train? That'll be a rarity... ;o)

Hey, I'd be happy with either, but we don't even have anything representing a 323 yet!

I stick by my original suggestion. 8)

Harwich Town to maningtree Uses a 312
Also on First Great Eastern
321=Liv Street to Southend, Ipswich and Braintree+Witam to Braintree
315=(We really need this) Liv Street to Shenfield and Southminster+Wickford to Soutminster
312=(This too)Liv Street to Ipswich and Harwich Town to Maningtree
153=Marks Tey to Sudbury
Also Anglia uses Class 86 on Liverpool Street and Norwich to Harwich International.

cum on ian u have to admit wolverhampton sation is a bit errr FILTHY. And anyway, speaking of the Shrewsbury line, i might try my hand at that as it runs past my house, in fact as im typing a 153 is doing the local to Walsall so to argue against myself, i would like the 156 too as it is the only stock i havent got that runs on my line ie 150,153,158,turbostar

When I look to one side of Wolverhampton station (the one away from the town centre) I always think "well, they could have bothered sweeping up after World War Two."
Even the station staff are deseperate to get away. Last week I was on a Voyager set heading down to Reading and one of the staff got on with a blind passenger and ended up carried through to New Street. All her mates were pissing themselves laughing on the radio.
Incidentally, its got to be the 156, workhorse of the north and best DMU ever!!!
This post is worth what you paid for it.

allypally: And I'll be sitting at the end pointing towards Shrewsbury on my way to/from Telford...

I don't think anyone would object to you doing the Wolverhampton to Shrubbery line in the slightest... It would tie up nicely to the Fictional WCML (if it ever gets out of Watford... Sorry madmardy! ) and would also provide a link if anyone wanted to do the Cardiff to Manchester stuff run through Shrubbery by Wales and West/Wales and Borders (I don't know who's got that bit now!).

If you do, are you going to create an activity with the "half-a-156, 153, whole 158" train that CT are running around at the moment? ;o)

crosscountry: Everybody else wishes they had disposed of High Level and kept Low Level as Wolverhampton's station... Anyway, how dare you diss the brewery! Of all the places you could pick? Sheez!

As for 156s, well, they leak, half of them are going around with "NON-MULTI" placards because the couplings are broke, the seats are falling to pieces, the windows rattle, the heaters are useless, they're apalling for standing passengers and they're *STILL* far better than the 158s!

We still need a 323.

the 158's are ok, aprt from the fact when they come from Pwlheli or goto Nottingham there are usually 150 irate Welshman sitting in the aisle, and anyway i started the Shrewsbury yesterday and there is no chance in hell of it going to New Street or Walsall because there are so many many tunnels and points on the way to Walsall and New Street because the platform is soooooo complex. And anyway if Low lEvel had been kept, who wud use it? it is at the bottom of a viaduct full of weeds and the roof is falling in, and anyway when Railtracks new guys finally get there arses in gear and start work on the WCML there will be a new station in Wolverhampton. And anyway the reason Wolverhampton station staff are so rare is because they are constantly getting trapped in the 1940's lift. On a nicer note tho Carlisle station will do nicely for Shrewsbury maybe Wolverhampton cuz i aint doing a new one. and i may design happy little virgin men to stand on the platform laughing at a stuck member of staff in the lifts.....
