Now I can recreate my first ever Peak...... 46002 rescuing 31420 at Bradford Junction, and so my life slipped from there aged 9...... About 183 to go, Dale!

I was merely observing that, as a 9 year old, my whole destiny was altered by a typical example of Bath Road (non) maintenance, ie a BR 31/4 chucking its coolant all over the Avon Valley. I realised at this point that my life lay with peaks and that goyles were a heap of ****. I'm just glad we weren't rescued by an 08........... (and I was with my dad!)
