DRS liveried Class 20, No. 20906

Post by delticbob »

Just a few lines to announce that in a day or two I will be ready to unvail my first locomotive repaint.

Kim Durose's Class 20187 has become DRS liveried 20906. The choice dictated by the fact that the DRS loco ( an ex weedkilling train loco) still has (had) the route indicator boxes.

I've also tweaked the .eng file & the loco can now sport marker/tail lights at either end, plus one or two other 'refinements'.

Should be ready later this week.

just out of interest you have Kim's permission to upload this don't ya? not trying to be picky but I remember what happened last time someone reskinned and uploaded a loco without permission.

Edward, fear not.

I have been in touch with Kim & he does not mind at all.

I am waiting on a reply from Gary Cox about uploading the file with his Class 20 sounds installed.

When I have got that & the file has been uploaded to here, then I will turn my attention to the Class 20 sounds alias file which I have done.

Ok, just thoight I had better check. Don't want WW3 part 2 to start up over something small like this. I think we have all had enough off arguments over silly things on here.

The Class 20 is now available for download.

I have used the clickteam installer for ease.

Also in the file is the alias file (also uploaded seperatly) to allow for the setting up of a master sounds file in a 'common.sound' folder.
Saves 7 Mb per loco.

Will you be uplading a version without the sound files? I already have Kim's original 20's complete with sounds, and unless they're different sounds, I see no point in wasting an hour downloading files only to overwrite existing ones.

I thought Kim's geen '20' D8304 was discs, but I have just had a look at his website, http://www.kimsim.co.uk, and that too is fitted with a route indicator box.

But for those who bother to check, there is a disc fitted Class 20 available at this site. See http://members.uktrainsim.com/filelib-i ... ileid=1104

Martin..you have mail! 1.90Mb

Following Martins request I have taken out the sound files, they bumped up the file size, and replaced them with the space saver.

I have also made a Dead in Tow .wag file so the loco can be towed dead or placed as a silent static consist.

Tis now available.
