The Worlds Greatest Movie Star - Thunderbolt!

Post by eddief »

As that great line from the file goes "We Want the Titfield Thunderbolt" but this time not out of the museum, out of my computer this time. And I will stake my living that she is as good as she ever was.

I have spent 30 mins so far doing frames, wheels, running plate, cab and firebox. I will make a boiler for it and put a chimney on then I should be able to take her for a run.

Ah! What a film! I hear they're remaking it this year...anyone know about that?
Romance! The season tickets mourn,
HE never ran to catch his train,
but passed with coach and guard and horn,
and left the local, late again!

Confound Romance, and all unseen,
Romance brought up the 9:15!

Didn't know that, but if they did they should relay the branch and part of the S&D for the opening sequence (that will be the problem as there is no branch in this country with a railway over the top for that scene).

I can see it now... Arnie boards the Titfield Thunderbolt guns blazing, saving the doomed train from the evil train inspectors....

Well I am NOT making a model of Arnie to jump on my lovely Thunderbolt. Will someone make a model of the Vicar and the Bishop for the cab?

You mean Sam and the Bishop of Welchester? Or Ollie Matthews as he was better known...How are you going to get her to couple? Steam Roller drive chain? Rope?

Thunderbolt is almost ready (just finished the loco shape), 1401 is due next week, we already have a toad so where are the coaches? as for coupling I think chain (as that is what it was, a drive chain)

Yeah...are we gonna have a line of people with buckets instead of a water tower?

Who wants the route? Go to Routes Forum and click on The Titfeild Thunderbolt to show support.

Mattaf can I suggest we work together somehow on this so we can have a loco and route together (only thing is Thunderbolt is almost finished).

That would be a good idea. I am going to make a start on the trackwork tomorrow(early). I will upload an unfinsished version, say, in August?

Thunderbolt sounds great!

jasonclarke

1401 would be great! I really want this model, and Thunderbolt, so that I can upload a screen shot pack while while everyone waits for the demo version.

To every one in general

If jasonclarke and eddief agree, I will upload a Titfeild Thunderbolt Mega pack, free download, with route and stock included. What do you think? If jasonclarke and eddief could just put up thier models on the site, when the route is finished, I will upload the pack. Is that ok with you two?
