Im going to do the Oldham Loop for the Caldervale line. i know i said i was then wasnt but this is FINAL.

IF Someway i CAN STOP MY COMPUTER FROM CRASHING on MSTS then the route will be done quicker.

any suggestions?

has anyone got any buildings or creating any buildings from the Oldham Line?

How about the Greater Manchester Waste Facillity next to Dean Lane station?

£10 is not much to pay for one hell of a lot of information.

I think Train-sim.com has a guide - dont ask me what its called and good luck finding it

The MSTS RE has a perfectly good tool for lowering terrain - its a 250M 4 lane road piece!

Lay it on the ground - sink it under group using the down arrow then press Y - switch to rotate mode and sweep it round in a big circle pressing Y every 10 degrees - you'll soon create a 500m diameter depression in the terrain!!!

And to add to seves post, you can set the emabnkment angle (use 77/88 for under bridges at 15m width)

The default is 45, 18, 45- use different settings for hills.

1. Embankment=2
Width 50
Cutting 2

2 5
25
5 or 10

3 10
30
5 or 10

Makes realistic hills and valleys

Yeah - thanks Tim, I'd forgot about those little fellows - the width one is crucial to getting cutting and embankment width under control

You shouldn't need to lower the terrain.

It's an uphill gradient between Dean Lane and Shaw.

i think i know what he means, on the caldervale for msts there is a hill right where dean lane should be. the track ends here, trainfanaticuk wants to know how to flatten this so he can actually lay track. (i THINK this is what he means, lol)

Well if youre getting bored already I would leave it. Route building is a challenge and can take a long time to get things right.
