LMS Period 3 Version 2.0 now uploaded!

Post by David101 »

I have just finished uploading version 2.0 of the LMS Period 3 coaches :) . They are much more detailed than the earlier coaches thanks to the efforts of all those who worked out how LOD works in TSM. Look for additional types in the days and weeks to come.

Merry Christmas

The only file I see is LOWPOLY.zip which is identical to the same file I downloaded a year ago!

You misunderstood the purpose of my massage. I was querying why LOWPOLY.zip was there as a new/revised download.

David

Thanks for these: it's always nice to see authors taking the trouble to keep their rolling stock up to date. Definitely worth dusting off the S&C 1930's route for.

Sorry for the confusion over the low-poly coaches. When I uploaded the image associated with the common textures for the LMS coaches, it had the same file name as one of the images used for the BR coaches and things got a little confused. Then I screwed up the low poly coaches trying to fix the problem and had to re-upload the file. That's why it appeared as a "new" file.

Anyway, I am finally going to do a coach I have always wanted to do next - the 6-wheel full brake. Look for it in a few weeks. Then it will be non-corridor stock, sleepers, and maybe another dining car.

David,

I use your coaches a hell of a lot, in blood and custard and BR maroon. Do you have plans to release the updated versions in those liveries, please? :fadein:

In the longer term, I will update the BR versions, but don't look for these in the near future. Even if I dropped everything else and did these coaches next, it would probably take several months since I have to update all of the coaches before realeasing any of them (a disadvantage of releasing so many different types). Unfortunately, doing the BR versions is just slightly more than just a straight reskinning job since there are a few minor detail variations between the LMS and BR versions of these coaches.

I want to finish the period 3 coaches first, then (maybe) add some period 1 and 2 stock. Then I will look at updating the BR versions. This should keep me busy for the next little while...
