West Coast Mk3s

Post by chriscooper »

Are their any plans to update the Intercity/Virgin Mk3As and DVT up to the standards of the excelent HST coaches, perhaps with an updated 87 and 90 to go with them. This would be especially good as they are gradually being withdrawn now.

You can use the IC Swallow HST Mk3's with a locomotive, as they din't have '125' written on the side. If you put a Mk1 BG on the end you hardly notice that they've got no buffers, so it's a decent stopgap.

But I agree, some new VWC sets would be great.
