FGE 360 "barbie"

Post by danielw2599 »

Is anyone planning on re-skinning the anglia 360 into FGE new livery (purple and pink), or the "Barbie livery" as alot of you call it??

Thanks

Quite right, as the oldest one is only under a year old & were delivered in "barbie" thats all they have been in, until first realise how stupid they look in it, the chances of ever seeing them in anglia livery is next to none!

WELL thats a good question!
Officially according to documents issued to staff, GB Railways (if successful) will remain an independent subsidy running the greater anglia franchise, but we all have to question for how long? If GB wins I see within 2 years First assuming total overall control & GB railways will cease to exsit! So I belive yes we probably will see first liveried turbostars unfortunatly! :(

Can you imagine first livered 86's :-?

GBRf in First livery, crikey, could be worst.

I shudder to think about what might happen, but it looks as though I may be looking for a new employer next year possibly, I live in FGE's area but work for anglia, the reason? First are a very tight, very poor employer!

Nothing to do with the prospect of having to wear a barbie coloured staff uniform then?

LMFAO, no I actually think that FGE's uniform although very similar to ours already is smarter since you have to wear a waistcoat too!

Their new livery is shocking. Maybe we should send the trains to Brum and get vandals to graffiti it into something nicer...

Just a thought...

No way! They deserve it anyway...

I was at Euston yesterday. How cool do Pendolinos look in real life! :o Amazing trains! If only I could have travelled on one...Oh well, something to really look forward to now!

Can anyone explain why VT staff are so much more helpful and friendly compared to FGW staff? All of the staff I met yesterday at Euston went out of their way to help me and answer my questions. Try to do the same at a FGW station, and they'll ignore you at best!

I think you will find that it's not just FGW but any First-Bus company, you come to Liverpool Street one day & try the same with FGE, in fact First Essex Busses are even worse, it's like being back in the early 70's we got chalk boards outside the bus station saying which services aren't running today due to "Driver Shortage!"
