0-6-0 switching loco.

Post by Jontan »

'Tis my own drawing of a fictious loco. Intended for light switching or track maintainence duties. If anyone is willing to make it then I'd be most thankfull.

It's a tank loco with a well tank betwean the frames and a pile of wood in the cab.

Middle axle is below the firebox.
You need to move it forward to allow access for raking out.
The weight distribution is also poor. The rear axle is lightly loaded and may be better replaced by a pony truck.
The smokestack also looks too far back.

Also the crew are not going to thank you for that big window.

Sorry to be so critical. Its not easy designing a steam loco.
Even the experts got it wrong.

It IS ment to be like that! It's fictious, so it can look like what ever way I want to. And besides, I would be the only one to use it as it's not like anyone else would apprechiate it for the wrongs that you so kindly stated.

The stack is far back to allow the headlight to be there and the big window gives good sight and can be covered with a textile sheet in winter time just like the end of the cab. And besides, I would be the crew so I'd be most pleased with that window.
In other words, I just did the loco the way that I wanted it to look and I bet that there is someone who will make it just for the fun of it.
I don't mean to be rude but I just want that loco for MSTS, thats all.

Oh, thanks for thinking it's cute, Matt. :D If ever done, I will letter it for SeaView Railways.

Didn't mean to upset you.

I like small cute locos and that is what you've drawn.

It's just that, if it wouldn't work right, then it wouldn't look right and I would not have another nice engine to download.

Like this one.................
