Wow! Sounds great! Also want a green one ;).

If I could get you plans for a 504, would you have a go at it?

Hi

The 504 the Manchester - Bury Two - Car Sets

I only ever travelled on two of them from Manchester to Bury and back around about 1973 , we went around the Depot without permission :o , please dont use the same stupidity , there was a Guard with a massive Dog Luckily it was well fed and so was He or i wouldnt be typing this now for sure :o !

David if you have some plans email em over and i will take a look ,
I might be able to do a 504 after the new 506 as i quiet like them too :D .

I was gonna have a go, but looking at my modelling skills ( skills? I don't have skills ;). ), I thought it would do they model justice to give them to someone else.

I'll dig out them plans ;).

johncas wrote: also why did some southern trains always have bars on the windows even the 1900's ones
The Overhead electrics on the routes via Crystal Palace had bars on the window droplights because they were LBSC stock which was slightly wider than normal (although still within loading gauge) and the Crystal Palace tunnel was slightly narrower than normal (ditto on the loading gauge bit). They were trying to stop people putting their heads out at the wrong moment and knocking it off on the tunnel entrance.
