Both are 504's
I know, it's just that there was this film called Crocodile Dundee and there was this bit where this Australian outback veteran played by Paul Hogan is mugged in New York by someone wielding a knife and he says "That's not a knife, this is a knife and he pulls out a dagger that's about the size of a sword and the mugger runs off and...I knew as soon as I pressed 'submit' that it read as though I was denying that the pic at Bury was a 504 and now I'm rambling, it's the heat.

Anyway, cracking pictures both.

I know, I was being sarcastic ;).

I'm also planning the route, but as I'm working on the ELR at the mo, it'll be for MSTS 2.

I had a look - right-click the X, select 'properties' and the URL of the source file is on the list of properties which you can copy and paste into your browser. A pain but any excuse to postpone writing a marketing plan in a sweaty office 8)

And yes John, they are pretty old (ex-LBSC overhead EMUs plus Bulleid CC1/2 by the way).

The early overhead electrics especially the one in the second photo looks like cream and blue will be nice

Why did southern railway decide to go for third rail and get rid of overhead cables

also why did some southern trains always have bars on the windows even the 1900's ones

Also you dont have to go that far back you could do a 4 SUB or 4NOL or 4COR sets

It's okay, I've decoded it. One of John's X's referred to a picture of an LBSC 'overhead electric' unit which is in a dark/light colour scheme.

The image won't appear here for some reason, but the image is at http://www.freewebs.com/leicesternorths ... 60502A.jpg.

John, could you put the odd full stop in your posts please? They can be a little hard to interpret at times. :)

Hmm, anyway ;)

Glad to see a few more Manchester EMU fans around. Probably one of the least covered areas of MSTS :(.
