Re: 1st Generation DMU sounds.
I personally prefer the 104.bristolian wrote:Hello all, if anybody has heard the 101ig unit on BVE, they'll not fail to be impressed. Excellent engine idle and window rattle sounds, and the rise in pitch of the transmission and gearbox whine is as authentic as you can get. The Cravens sounds on Mid-East don't hold a candle to the BVE 101ig unit (Sorry Mid-East creator, just giving MY opinion - your route is EXCELLENT!).
Is there any way that the sounds can be translated for MSTS (with the owner's permission of course?)
Best wishes, Bob.
Drrrrink, Feck, Arse, Girrlls
Unfortunately the sounds dont work the same at all between the sim types

First Gen dmu sounds
Hi all. My preferred types are the 116/7/8s, the 119s, and 121/2s.
If somehow, the gearbox whine, rising in time to engine revs can be incorporated into MSTS config, I'm sure we'd have a winner on our hands.
Best wishes, Bob.
