People Groups
One of the biggest faults with MSTS is the absence of people standing on Station platforms. I am creating my own route and want to populate a big station with lots of waiting passengers. To do this individually with the few people examples there are would take ages and use up a lot of tile space. Can someone create a set of people groups that can be installed onto platforms to give the impression of a busy Station. I'm sure Tim would be interested in this for his Kings Cross Station. Thanks Kevin.

I am going to do a few and also they will be flat people, you could make them as 4 poly objects too but i think flat people groups as per Trainz is the way to go.
Also - Kevin...any chance of some detail pics of Stamford station next time you are out that way??

There are some flat people packs available on Train-sim.com. They include some groups. They have a 60s-70s USA style appearance but some are OK for UK use. I believe they may also be on Ron Picardi's site.

What route builders need to do, is make sure scenery objects like people have their detail levels set to 10.
Then all you need to do is turn down the detail level option a notch and all the people disappear - best of both worlds for fast and slow PC's
(and don't rely on the model builder putting the correct detail level into the SD file, check it or adjust it in the RE too)
Hopefully we have done this with Highworth and will make recommendations on detail level for PC's - I would not recommend running the route at full detail unless you have a 2+Ghz PC
That said - there will still be plenty to look at with 1200-1700 items per tile

You're not alone there Mike.
I can't help with the TSM people, but I have been secretly working on some for 3D Canvas which I'll make available as S files for freight animations.
You'll need to make adjustments with SFM to position them correctly for each loco but that shouldn't take too long.
They're not highest on my priority list due to Highworth activity so they could be a few weeks off.
