Flybe appear to on the brink of purchasing BA Connect according to the email they've just sent me.

I flew Flybe between Salzburg and Southampton once to make a change from MUC-LHR and very pleasant it was too. The approach to Salzburg on the return was very dramatic with a low 180 degree turn in the valley just before touchdown.
Problem is, they only fly that route one or two days per week during the ski season, and nothing for the rest of the year.

Got the same email - it will have serious consequences for Birmingham and Manchester, for whom BA Connect were the major carrier!
Seems they will be getting rid of the DH-8-300's and ERJ-145s as well.
I think the writing was on the wall as soon as BA announced the changed to the then-BA Citiexpress!
