Well folks, I decided to do a bit of night flying (including dusk and dawn) the past few days, here are a few of my findings

Nice - I try to avoid night flying, particularly as FS default airports are abysmally lit!

I'd post some of my shots, but I'm bush flying in the Falklands at the moment, and there's nothing much to see...!

Now do that in a real aeroplane! ;)

I only did one night flight in the real world, down in New Zealand. Pretty unnerving really because I took off from Ardmore with high ground either side completely invisible - I mean its just wooded hillsides there. Over Auckland of course you get a good impression of your situation from the city lights, but out in the country there just isn't anything there. The only reference were the stars overhead. Pretty wierd I can tell you.

PS - Whoever was in the piper crossing the runway I do apologise - I forgot to turn on the landing light (and so did my instructor). Pays to be alert when you're flying.

Great shots. I love travelling/flying at night. I just wish that I hadn't left my copy of MSFS in Sydney as I haven't yet installed it.
