The Worlds Strangest Airport

Post by wrighty »

Bit late for posting cause it's on in 20 mins. Is a programme on channel 5 called Megastructures. Its about the engineering construction of the Kansai Int airport on the man-made island in Osaka, Japan.

Hong Kong is constructed in a similar way on reclaimed land.

Osaka looks very well planned.

Was a very good programme, really intresting when they were telling you how they were jacking up the terminal. I knew of the airport but didn't relise that they had started building another island next to it to put another terminal and runway on.

Wish I'd been in, sounds like I missed a good programme. I love stuff like that!
