A350 Annonced

Post by CHAMPS04 »

I got an email from the airbus website about the paris airshow for this weekend, and on the start page at the bottom i noticed A350, so i clicked on it and shows you design plans on what the A350 is going to look like, it looks simular to the A330 really.

Probably shows Boeing have been more accurate on their Point to Point prediction with smaller planes!
If you were wondering, the avatar is me on Planet Stooopid...

Which is why they have also launched the 747ADV despite claiming that capacity over long distance was less important?

What I'd like to know is what is so different about the A350 from the A330 to warrant a new title? They look almost identical externally, and I can't imagine the avionics can be upgraded much?

Its probably more than just a avonics upgrade.
A new name might mean they get EU grants/subsidies... something they might not get if its just a stretch or refinement e.g. calling it a A330-400/500/600 etc.

Good point, thinking about it that wouldn't come as a surprise! ;D I'd be very interested to see the A350 though, to see how similar it actually is to the A330.

No air is taken from the engine for air con etc. This will be from electric air pumps in fuselage supposed to improve engine efficiency. Also will be made from more composites and feature A380 style flight deck.
