Virgin Atlantic- what to expect

Hi all.
Long time no posts from me.
Anyhow. I'm off to the big apple in September this year, and have booked with Virgin Atlantic.
Outbound is a 744 inbound the A346.
Last time I flew long haul was Delta out of Manchester a couple of years back.
Hoping the VS long haul is a class above the old battered 763 which dragged me across the pond on that occasion.
Anyone know what to expect with Virgin?

Having been a regular with BD and BA on the Manchester shuttles in recent months I just take that for granted.
