A380
Moderator: Moderators
Things often appear to be moving very slowly or not happening during aircraft development - I don't know for certain but I don't think there are any problems - it's just that it takes a while from a new design being unveiled on the ground to the test flights and deliveries to airlines. It's only a few months since it was unveiled, and I'm sure there's work still to be done on the A380.
Anyway, I can't say I'm particularly eager to see it - the longer it takes for it to enter service the better!

Its a ton or two overweight but the airlines have indicated this is acceptable to them. I expect the aircraft is undergoing ground based systems checks - making sure the software works, the engines work, pressurisation work, the airframe is watertight etc.
Not to mention testing it by goign up and down the runway.
