Lazy Radio Stacks

Post by bigvern »

Has anyone come across the problem (usually 3rd party/freeware panels) of not being able to adjust the Nav radio frequencies? Currently flying an ifdg A320 with a third party panel from Munich to LHR, got vectors to 9R (ILS 109.5) but tried to alter Nav 1 from 110.3 or whatever it was displaying and the digits would not change, up or down. There does not appear to be a separate radio panel.

Funny that - I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday with the iFDG A320 - the panel designed for the iFDG model has the radio frequencies displayed, but apart from the transponder, they all seem to be unchangeable manually. They do change when using the ATC menu to change frequency, but if you want to manually tune an ILS, it won't let you!

Whilst on this topic, what is the best A320 freeware panel available, because I haven't yet found a good one, in 4 years of searching!
