LOL, its not bad but its not fully clicklable and so if you fly from the VC like I do (with GA) you need to use the Shift+number function to bring up the relevent panels i.e. mainly the radio panel.

I can fly the 172R virtually without the 2D panel. The only time I have to use it is for a section of the panel where the light switches are, the yoke obtructing it while in flight.

That's the VisualFlight VFR Photographic scenery. http://www.visualflight.co.uk/. I got it from JustFlight but I've had a quick look at their site and uless I'm blind (I've got my glasses on too) they've not got it listed anymore.
Northern England is £17.99+delivery from Visual Flight.

There's a really nice An2 available on Avsim.com (?) . Even Pilot magazine recommended it.

Well, I think this takes some beating as freeware... Shame the panel's still not finished although there are some excellent useable freeware Concorde panels on f-s.com or avsim. I've got a nice prototype Concorde with working panel that flies out of Filton. Mind you... It's difficult to keep such a powerful plane under control and I'm usually touching Mach 0.9 with nose and wheels down before I'm at the Severn estuary!!!  S'pose I'll learn eventually.

It is very good for freeware. Whether its because I've not a registered copy of FSUIPC it didn't use to like the gauges and most of the panel ended up black.

I've got the Altitude/Koch Media/SSTsim Concorde and while its a stunning piece of kit, its damn complex i.e. no Direct GPS navigation here. Its CIVA INS. I've not yet once managed a complete transatlantic flight but then I've started to appreciate packages that require a lot of reading.

Mr. Maltby's 1-11's and VC10's are probably my favorite pieces of freeware. A odd bit of Comet never hurt anyone either.

Ah its you again Mr Fodda? You realise you were exceeding the speed limit back there? Kindly calm it down Sir or I'll be forced to book you for speeding. I don't want to have to tell Mr & Mrs Sparrow that their little sparrowling got sucked into your jet intakes. And you might want to check your tyres - I can't see any tread. This aeroplane is fully insured isn't Sir?

Thanks for the freeware pointers guys. I have downloaded quite a bit of stuff, only got round to testing the Realair C172, which is very nice, like the sounds very much. The wind sounds are really good.

Yes... Some of those fictitious liveries work nicely, but you have to say the American Airline and KLM liveries really just don't work at all.

Don't get me wrong, I think AA have a great livery with that silver, but it just doesn't suit Concorde which seems to just suit a mostly white with a thin line livery. And out of the fictional liveries, I reckon the Pan Am and TWA versions stand out as looking really nice.

Mr Maltby's contributions should be mandatory downloads for all.

And of course there's the amazing talents of Rick Piper to look at as well. His Chipmunk is a classic, the Meteor gorgeous, and the Vickers Varsity one of the nicest models I've seen. But then I got his Jet Provost and realised what I'd been missing in flight sims for years, a total immersion environment. More cracking work... Get it all from: http://www.btinternet.com/~rick.piper/
