Mr Clarkson got caught speeding by the french traffic police as I recall. But then the french don't appreciate fine motor cars. They are responsible for the 2CV remember.

And they sold it to the Brits!!!

Don't rest on your laurels yet though Caldrail... Who came up with the Reliant Robin? And how many of those were exported to France?

To be honest though, that race was a little one sided as for a lot of the journey the other two were in a rattly old bus on a mountain road... And Clarkson only beat them by a few hundred yards. For the price of that Ferrari, I'd have insisted on a helicopter from the airport to the resort instead of that rotten bus and beaten Clarkson by hours.
