I had one for me Mac, but at a guess that'd probably not suit you...

I know one called 'Air Traffic Contol Centre', quite basic but it works and is potentially very good, though I have hardly used it.
Alternatively sign up for VATSIM and control real people

Unfortunately I don't have Mac so yes it wouldn't suit me.
Reagrding VatSim... I think I have tried this one but got so bored because nothing was happening...plus there is so much to stuff to do before you can control - I JUST WANT TO CONTROL lol ! This game, 'Air Traffic Control Centre' is this suitable for Windows? If so, may I ask where you purchased it from?
Thanks again!

ATCC is freeware I think, and it does work on Windows. I have it on mine but I'm not sure where it has come from.

Many years ago I had "Air Havoc Controller", light hearted approach and you got to see animated clips of the, ahem, consequences of your poor decisions but it was quite good fun.

How about
http://www.atcsimulator.com/ ? There is a monster demo you can download from the site.
I was planning on buying it but I saw the sale they had on over Memorial Day weekend. I was hoping they might have another one over Indepence Day but no joy

so I will wait until I come back from holiday.

I finally got a copy of this program. They had a sale over the "labour day" weekend last week so it was about a 50% discount. First impressions are that it is very complicated but then again so is the real thing
I had a few problems installing but the forumns on their site got me round those issues.
Just tried the tutorial and got fired for steering American Airlines 2029 into a hill east of ABQ.

He was too high when I issued the landing instruction so he turned to resequence and when I got a TCAS alart I panicked and turned him right onto a direct heading into to a hill. I did get an alert but by the time I issued instructions the trace had gone from the scope
