Hey everyone, not sure if this should go here or elsewhere but thought I'd give a heads up about it

,
I'd like to share with you two videos I took whilst on the 1938 stock train that ran on the Jubilee Line on the 5th August:
From Stratford to West Hampstead:
Part 1
The Charing Cross branch and a walkaround the station:
Part 2
Special thanks has to go to everyone involved for the trip, comments are always welcome

.
Graham.

Hi,
Great videos!
That '38 stock is hellfire - a proper compressor whine, 'old school' traction motor noises and good old fashioned switch/relay noises as the train is accelerating!!! I can't get my head around the fact the 1938 stock is 70 years old - that unit looks particularly good for its age!
I'd love a run on it, but living in North Wales makes it difficult to co-ordinate, logistically. I've had a run behind No.12 Sarah Siddons from Baker St to Uxbridge - that's another hellfire machine!
Cheers,
Dave

I was tracking this special on TrackerNet for my boss, as we were worried that there would be a repeat of the gapping incident on the Northern Line. Thankfully it all passed off smoothly

Dan

This is a public service announcement
The open forum was probably not the best place for this so using a bit of forum trickery I moved it to the Special Interest Group - underground. Then moved it leaving a shadow topic in SIG - Underground to the real railway discussion and then moved it second time leaving another shadow topic to the railway photography forum since it has interest to all 3 groups.
Hopefully - if I did it right - it should now appear in 3 forums but only really exist in one if you see what I mean. That stops thread duplication and means all 3 forums can see any replies. In theory .......
