Saturday 6th June and it rained all day during a visit to the Severn Valley. However, whilst at Bridgnorth in the afternoon 75069 was shunted around the yard presumably in readiness for it's much awaited overhaul. Some photos of it and my wet day are now at my fotopic site.
Cheers,
Paul

Cheers Paul. Nice to see the shunt movement was recorded somewhere.
You caught me on camera too, I was nice and dry firing 5764!

Hi David, nice to know I caught you on camera! I was most impressed with how 5764 walked out of Bridgnorth when some bigger engines sometimes make a bit of a fuss. I won't say it was a wet rail as that would be an understatement!
Cheers,
Paul

One thing a 57XX will always do is dig in when you want to most- very very effective for standing starts on hills. And we did not use the sanders once all day and did not slip...........It performed OK even though it wasn't on top form- a few leaks on the smokebox seal were affecting its fire drafting and steaming but I got it from A to B with a safe water level and sufficient pressure all day......
