I was only the runner at Orton on Saturday, can't remember ringing Peterborough or answering the phone (left the siggie to do that, except when he was unavailable) - although I know you rang up once or twice to let the siggie at Orton know the shuttle was on it's way.

It was fun though learning the signalling side for a bit, although these bells must take some learning!

Have no idea when I will next be down there as I don't get any form of a roster, I just await a call or email from the head guard - although I have said I'm looking at other areas as I want to be able to do this on a regular basis if possible say once a week, not a day here or there.

Anyway, you will know if I'm about as my car has a HE depot allocation sticker on the rear, Not many cars have them in PBO....

I do remember hearing a different voice to Gerry's answering the phone when i rang through one of the shuttles leaving PNV!

I'm currently training to be a full blown signalman on NVR inbetween working on the TPO, was it you who was with Dave Goodley on the Sunday of the Wartime Weekend if so I have come face to face with you?

No, as far as I am aware I'm was working the night shift that weekend so couldn't go and as to the voice on the telephone, well it must have be me as only Gerry and myself were there.

Got to meet "Ralph" though from Oh Doctor Beeching as he was the runner on Sunday although he's training to be a siggie and not a driver!
