North Wales Narrow Gauge Thrash...

Post by dkightley »

Just before the Llandudno show, myself and Laurie (Lad491) had a thrash round some of the attractions in the area. We were joined by RobertM for the second and third day...

Wednesday...we had tickets pre-booked on the 9:00 train up Snowdon. Unfortunately, the weather had different ideas:

Putting a brave face on defeat (we weren't allowed out the train as it was too windy), we crossed the road to the Llanberis Lake Railway:

And then Laurie decided it was a good idea to go for a boat ride....and it rained!

Back on dry land (sort of :-? ), we headed back to Llandudno:

Thursday..joined by RobertM, we set off to the Ffestiniog:

Friday, we needed to get back to help set up the stand, so a quick dash for a ride on Tallylyn was in order:

Not bad for three days!!!

Brilliant shots Doug, especially the Ffestiniog ones. I haven't been back to that railway for a while, but that could change soon... :D

Nice photos, Doug :)

Haven't seen Talyllyn in black livery before. It's giving me ideas ;)

Cheers,
Kevin
