I have just come back from a few days there, and the best places I found were the South end of Platform 4/5, or the North End, both of which give good views. However, care must be taken when photographing the through service on the Fast lines, as the catenary gets in the way. I found going right to the top of the North End where the catenary goes from Twinhead and Single, to Triple span, as shown in photo 16, just to the right of the signal. If you stand north of that, it gives a good view. Also, on Platform 3, at the South End, there is a small area that sticks out from the platform, towards the Fast Lines, but I'm not too sure about the view, I didn't try there this time.
