Today A4 No. 60009 "Union Of South Africa" left Thornton at 13.30 to go to Millerhill Yard, in preperation of tomorrow's Heart Of Midlothian tour. Knowing this, I headed along to Thornton Junction last night to see the A4 in light steam. Imagine my surprise then, that I see K4 No. 61994 "The Great Marquess" in steam, but the A4 still inside the shed!!!! Still, the A4 was lit up last night in readiness for it's move today, while the K4 was on Support Coach heating duties ( as well as dragging 60009 out of the shed ):

Then, another outing today, this time, quickly to Perth to see the A4 on her way to Millerhill...the long way round. Here she ran round the Support Coach, and was watered. Was beautiful hearing the chime whistle again!

The rest of the photographs from both collections can be found at the usual place: http://www.jonathonag.fotopic.net
Hopefully tomorrow at Waverley, with the A4's departure, will bring better results! Hope you enjoy them anyway.
