I loved last years 50s passing Gatcombe.

Can agree with you there Jon. I think it's the way that in the photos, he doesn't concentrate on just the locomotive like most of us do ( yes, I admit to falling in that category many a time ), but fits the whole train into the frame and also some of the surrondings, giving it a feel of depth and reality, something which is very specail in a photo.
