shame your never gonna be able to get a rail tour on the mainline with an a4 and the teak set...

Well I may aswell post a few of mine :D

This is probably my favourite of the year, taken on the first outing with my new camera, the 9F ready to leave Arlesford at the head of the "RAT"

Earl Bathurst and Formarke Hall coasting into Winchcombe

The Super D with an early morning freight at Waterworks Crossing during the SVR gala

Not the best of pics perhaps, but chosen mainly because of the subject  :D

Blue Anchor crossing gates on a superb sunset special trip from Minehead

5553, 6412 and 80136 simmering away on shed in the early evening at Minehead

Again perhaps not the best of pics but I did like the lighting conditions. Rood Ashton Hall heads for Dorridge with a christmas lunch special on a cold frosty morning

Now this one isn't a 2006 picture, it was taken at about 5 past midnight on Jan 1st 2007 at the GCR, seemed a good way to see the new year in to me, they were runnng until 1am :D

Plenty more pics on my fotopic site http://www.mikesolloway.fotopic.net

Dan, you should really consider getting a Fotopic website ( if you already haven't ) with shots like those ones  ....why haven't we seen much of your photos before??

a good place for photography i must agree (if there are no cars in the way) look what the one with 88 can do as a result but if there is a car in the way then up-close shots are not as good... for example Image
although you do get more of the signal box in

I tend not to visit many preserved lines during a year, and when I do I rarely take pictures. Stems from not having my own camera until my graduation ceremony last summer, and that Dad normally always took the pictures using whatever camera he had at the time.

I might get an Fotopic website, but I don't have the time at the moment to upload our archive.

Regards,

Dan
